Attorney General Hector Balderas commented on the verdict stating, “I am pleased that juries are willing to understand the complexity of human trafficking, and hold offenders accountable for preying upon those who are vulnerable and subjecting those individuals to unspeakable acts and violence in order to turn a profit. My office is committed to pursuing justice in these cases and protecting New Mexico’s most vulnerable populations.”
