Santa Fe, NM – This afternoon, the Office of the Attorney General issued the following statement from Communications Director James Hallinan in response to the New Mexico Supreme Court’s decision regarding the No Bail Constitutional Amendment:
“We are glad that the Supreme Court has agreed with the position of Attorney General Balderas and will be giving courts across the state guidance on this critical amendment that gives prosecutors and judges an effective tool to keep dangerous defendants off of the streets while pending trial.”
