Albuquerque, NM – Today, Attorney General Hector Balderas wishes all New Mexicans
a happy and safe Fourth of July. He also advises everyone to follow fire and fireworks
restrictions, and expressly warns against the discharge of any firearms during
celebrations.
“I wish all New Mexicans a very happy and safe Fourth of July, as we celebrate this
Independence Day with family and friends,” said Attorney General Balderas. “Please
remember to put your safety and the safety of others first, obey all fire and fireworks
restrictions, and do not under any circumstance discharge a firearm during celebrations-
–anyone caught breaking the law and risking the safety of others will be prosecuted.”
