Albuquerque, NM – Attorney General Hector Balderas will participate in Albuquerque Pride’s Candlelight Vigil to commemorate Pride Month and to honor the people who began the Pride movement in New Mexico and across the country for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer/questioning (LGBTIQ) community.
“The LGBTIQ community has made great strides in advocating for the civil rights of all Americans in recent years, but we must continue to work together to eradicate bias and prejudice,” Balderas said. “My commitment as Attorney General is to promote the safety and health of every family in New Mexico and to guarantee equal treatment under the law.”
