The Attorney General acknowledges victims of crime and continues efforts to promote safe and prosperous communities across New Mexico
Santa Fe, NM – In recognition of National Victims’ Rights Week, Attorney General Hector Balderas honors all New Mexicans who have been victims of crime, and in doing so, highlights the importance of the constitutional rights afforded to all crime victims in New Mexico.
“The Office of the Attorney General remains committed to prosecuting offenders who victimize and exploit our vulnerable populations, and empowering all New Mexicans to protect themselves to the best of their ability,” said Attorney General Balderas. “We know that educated communities are safe communities, which is why my office continues to develop responsive statewide training on topics ranging from avoiding scams to recognizing and reporting human trafficking to protecting our children from predators on the internet.”
