Albuquerque, NM – Attorney General Hector Balderas announced that yesterday a Bernalillo County Grand Jury indicted former Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) Corrections Officer Enock Arvizo on 11 counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration of an Inmate, one count of Criminal Sexual Contact of an Inmate, four counts of Battery and two counts of Assault.
The charges stem from allegations involving five separate victims, who were all inmates in MDC at the time. The prosecution is being handled by the Office of the Attorney General, Special Prosecutions Division.
A one million dollar cash only bench warrant for Arviso’s arrest has been issued by the court.
