AG Balderas Secures Guilty Verdict in Murder Case of Albuquerque Police Officer

Albuquerque, NM – Today, Attorney General Hector Balderas secured a guilty verdict in the
murder of Albuquerque Police Department Officer Daniel Webster. A jury of Davon Lymon’s
peers found him guilty of several counts, including first-degree murder.
“Today, justice has been served for the family of Officer Daniel Webster, the Albuquerque
Police Department, and the State of New Mexico,” said Attorney General Hector Balderas. “I am
humbled to have had the opportunity to bring just a fraction of the peace that Officer Webster’s
family deserves.”
In addition to the first-degree murder charge, a jury of Davon Lymon’s peers found him guilty of
two counts of tampering with evidence, receiving or transferring a stolen motor vehicle, shooting
at or from a motor vehicle causing great bodily harm, and forgery. Lymon faces a sentence in
excess of life in the New Mexico Department of Corrections.
