Albuquerque, NM – Today, Attorney General Hector Balderas secured an additional three-year
sentence against Mark Webb, the man convicted of secretly recording graphic videos of an
underage female in the bathroom. The Attorney General previously convicted Webb of
Voyeurism at trial in 2016, and secured a conviction to second-degree sexual exploitation of
children by manufacture in 2018. Today’s sentencing was for the additional charge of sexual
exploitation of children by manufacture which was bifurcated from the Voyeurism case..
“I am proud that my office was able to successfully seek additional justice for crimes committed
against a minor.” Said Attorney General Balderas. “No child should be exploited in New
Mexico.”
In January and February of 2013, Webb secretly recorded an underage girl in the bathroom of an
Albuquerque residence. After the underage survivor discovered the hidden camera, an analysis
of a computer the defendant used turned up additional videos that the defendant had copied.
As a result of this additional conviction, Webb will spend 3 additional years in the New Mexico
Department of Corrections, and will be required to register as a sex offender for life. He will also
be on sex offender probation for up to 20 years upon his release from prison. He has already
served time in custody in regards to the Voyeurism conviction
