Albuquerque, NM – This afternoon, Attorney General Hector Balderas announced that the New Mexico Supreme Court denied Nehemiah Griego’s request to review the Court of Appeals opinion which ordered a new amenability hearing. The new amenability hearing sought by Attorney General Balderas will now take place in District Court as the Office of the Attorney General received the mandate this afternoon.
“Today, the Supreme Court cleared the way for the new amenability hearing my office sought for Nehemiah Griego in the murders of his young siblings and parents,” said Attorney General Balderas. “Our office remains focused on protecting New Mexicans from the most dangerous, violent offenders.”
