icac 2012 web.mp4
On December 23, 2011, the New Mexico Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force released a Public Service Announcement to raise awareness about Internet Safety. The PSA was produced with the help of students from UNM, Cottonwood Classical Preparatory School, and staff members from the New Mexico Attorney General's office. The students and staff members were cast as characters in the 30 second piece, and production was done by the Communications Division of the AG's office.
The PSA features a common scenario... A teenager surfing and chatting on the Internet meets someone who appears to be another fun-loving teenager of the opposite gender. The commercial raises the question, "Do you know who you are talking to?" in order to encourage teens to take a hard look at people they meet on the Internet.
More information about Internet Safety can be found on the AG's Website at www.nmag.gov
