The Communications Division is responsible for the day-to-day relations with the media, including statewide and national news outlets. Our office’s primary goal is to provide useful, accurate information to the public. By providing helpful tips and specific information on identity theft, Internet safety, and many other topics, this office will continue to help protect, educate and inform New Mexicans. The Communications staff also provides information for the media and public on legal cases being handled by the Attorney General’s Office. The Communications Office relays information through news releases, news conferences, consumer and scam alerts and a number of informative publications produced by the Community Outreach and Education branch of the Communications Office. This branch also conducts presentations for the public on consumer issues, senior citizen concerns, and state government “sunshine laws.” Media Inquiries Our public information officers are available in Santa Fe and Albuquerque.
