A Message from AG King

Attorney General Gary King

I believe the public looks to the Attorney General to provide leadership and I intend to embrace that role in order to help build confidence in our state government and reassure the people of New Mexico that it works for all of us. This new state-of-the-art website is a good example of how user friendly technology can be incorporated to help the public enjoy improved access to an important state agency. Therefore, I would like to welcome each and every visitor to the Internet Homepage for the New Mexico Attorney General’s Office.

By statute, the Attorney General serves in a number of official legal capacities, including being the guardian of the public interest. In practice, I will also be ‘the people’s lawyer.’ I have vowed to protect New Mexico families by using all the tools and resources I can muster as your Attorney General and this website is one of those tools. I hope you will take advantage of the frequently updated information provided here. Your feedback and comments are always welcome as we work to make New Mexico an even better and safer place in which to live.

Sincerely,
Gary K. King
New Mexico Attorney General
