New Mexico Attorney General Gary King's Consumer Protection Division is recognizing National Consumer Protection Week by having staff members available to answer consumer questions and take official consumer complaints at Cottonwood Mall in Albuquerque on Wednesday, March 10 and Saturday March 13, 2010 from 10:00 am-6:00 PM.
This year's theme, Dollars & Sense: Rated "A" For All Ages, highlights the importance of using good consumer sense no matter how experienced an individual may be. AG King's Office will offer helpful publications for consumers struggling with foreclosure, experiencing credit card fraud, feeling trapped by a payday lender, and more.
The AG's Office is joining the U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, FBI, Secret Service, U.S. Marshals Office, Better Business Bureau, Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, New Mexico Securities, City of Albuquerque, and the Federal Trade Commission to serve consumers of all ages.
Agency booths will be adjacent to the Starport Movie Theater, lower level at Cottonwood Mall.
